The Philips CPAP lawsuits claim the use of various Philips CPAP machines can cause lung injuries and even cancer.
On June 14, 2021, Philips issued a voluntary recall for Bi-Level PAP, CPAP, and ventilator devices due to health risks associated with the PE-PUR foam component, which can disintegrate and emit toxic substances. This includes first-generation DreamStation devices.
Philips disclosed the risks in their Q1 2021 report, citing foam degradation that can release harmful particles and chemicals. They noted that specific environmental conditions like high humidity and temperature could worsen foam degradation, which wasn't mentioned in the CPAP User Manual.
If you or someone you love has experienced lung damage or cancer after using any of the Philips CPAP machines, you may be entitled to compensation.
